I am Pam Marron, your local Florida mortgage professional. As a licensed mortgage originator for the last 37 years, my reputation is built on professionalism, integrity and the ability to keep transactions on track. I am dedicated to helping my clients obtain a mortgage that fits their specific financial goals. I am passionate about helping my clients, and focus on bringing you peace of mind throughout the home financing process.
From the first phone call to the closing, my processor and I are here for you! In addition to assisting clients with FHA, VA, conventional, USDA, renovation and portfolio 1st mortgages, I can provide specialized help with unique circumstances listed under the tab “Specialized Help for Clients”. I have chosen to work as an independent loan originator for most of the last 37 years so that I can always have the best mortgage programs with the best interest rates most needed for my clients. Regardless of your situation, I will direct you through the process and continue to be a resource well after your loan has closed.
Through the Housing Crisis
During the housing crisis, I worked with many government and non-profit agencies and (past) U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (D-Fl) to get a fix for foreclosure credit code that was erroneously applied to the credit of past short sellers. During this time, I became aware of other credit error issues that affected clients in distress and became an advocate for “pushing the real story” to the forefront. The result was a website called “HousingCrisisStories.com” that assisted consumers, mortgage originators and realtors to be able to anticipate and visually see credit issues (many were hidden!) before a client purchased a home. Pertinent information that can still help clients, loan originators and realtors is being integrated into “CloseWithPam”.
The erroneous foreclosure code that was applied to past short sale credit got fixed by applying a workaround in Fannie Mae but never got fixed in Freddie Mac. Still, so many affected clients were still falling through the cracks and another avenue to be able to check potentially affected clients had to be sought. In June 2016 after being appointed by (then) U.S. HUD Secretary Julian Castro to be on the HUD Housing Counseling Federal Advisory Committee (HCFAC), I learned how much pre-purchase work housing counselors provide to clients who aren’t quite ready to purchase a home yet. What if these trained housing counselors could provide assistance when needed for clients of independent loan originators… who would then offer an incentive towards mortgage closing costs for clients who engaged with housing counselors to prepare for homeownership? Out of this came a grass root pilot program that connects loan originators and realtors to HUD approved housing counselors for specific help for clients that includes indepth help with credit issues and building credit, assessment for down payment assistance programs and budgeting for a home.
